The rumors are true!
ACiD will be present at this weeks deviantART Summit in Hollywood, California!
As mentioned on the deviantART front page in April, I will be personally speaking at the summit on the history of ASCII art, its past, present and future, presenting a speech titled BEYOND ASCII: The Art of Textmode.
In addition to the speech, ACiD has partnered with deviantART prints and will be exhibiting a number of excellent ANSIs from the 1990s as well as running a booth in cooperation with Jason Scott of textfiles.com.
We have lots of goodies in store at the ACiD booth: Two full-size vintage arcade games, loads of high quality ACiD ANSI art prints, as well as a 42" plasma screen showing off some of ACiD's badassedness graphics from the nineties and naughties. We will be raffling off ACiD prints throughout the event, and offering our Dark Domain DVDs and BBS Documentary DVDs for sale, amongst other ACiD-related clothing items and paraphernalia. Some oldskool folks will be making cameo appearances, so this is a great opportunity to meet up with the likes of ANSI Animation extraordinaire, JED, as well as other ACiD members, namely Beastie, Pinion, and Piano Man. To find us, just look for the 6-ft wide black banner with the white ACiD logo and the purple phone.
Hope to see you there!

deviantART now has native support for ANSI art
As I mentioned last week on Twitter, deviantART now has native support for ANSI art files, including ANSI animation. (!)
Example: ELM.ANS
Tremendous thanks go to pachunka (https://www.deviantart.com/pachunka), techgnotic (https://www.deviantart.com/techgnotic), and spyed (https://www.deviantart.com/spyed) for investing so much time and energy into this project.
Try it out for yourself! Dust off your copy of ACiDDraw or pick up the modern day equivalent, PabloDraw, available for Windows, Mac, or Linux.
